This silicone sleeve is free of plastics and is 100% non-toxic. The bottle and the sleeve can be boiled or put in the dishwasher together. The silicone nipple is latex-free and non-toxic. The plastic ring, plug and cap contain no polycarbonates and are food grade, FDA approved and recyclable. decent enough bottle, ridiculous price
i just bought this for a trip, i was afraid to bring my normal glass bottles. when i paid $17.99 plus $4 for shipping, i assumed it was for a 3 pack of bottles. especially since in the about the item section is says 'bottles', plural. it is not, i just got one singular bottle. i feel ripped off honestly. the actual bottle is just a plain old fashioned bottle, no venting system like my dr brown's glass bottles (which are $15 for three much more complex bottles), the silicone sleeve is nifty, but that is the only thing that sets this bottle apart from a cheap evenflo glass bottle. the lack of any venting except through the cap left lots of bubbles in the milk. i hope that won't make my daughter's reflux too bad. she seemed to like drinking from it so i have no complaints about that. be warned too, that the silicone sleeve is the only place there are markings, so this cannot be used without it, and i don't feel it is too accurate since the silicone can easily be slipped around and stretched to measure too little or too much. there are also minimal markings, only every ounce, or every 50 mL. not too precise. overall, i'm not happy with this purchase, i'm glad my daughter likes it, but i feel the bottle is NOT worth the high price. i will be sticking with my dr browns.
Great EcoFriendly Bottle!!
I have a new baby and was so excited to try these bottles. I found them very attractive and was pleasantly surprised to find that they were even more attractive in reality. My baby took to the bottles right away, loving the feel of the silicone sleeves and mesmerized by all the colors. I find the extra grip of the sleeve great for any of my spills on the outside of the bottle. The bottles screw directly into my breast pump attachments - perfect! Best part (aside from knowing these bottles are safe and toxic free) is the quick cleanup, throwing everything into the dishwasher... no small pieces and no pulling of the sleeves. Great product that I highly recommend!
Great Product
What with all the press about the dangers of plastic bottles we looked at several of the glass bottles out there. It seemed that the Wee-go has the right combination of style and safety so we bought it and are delighted. The baby boy loves holding it and is mesmerized by the design. He has even dropped it several times already, with nary a scratch. We plan to buy the rest of the colors and sizes. I highly recommend it.
